PPNB Dig at El-Hemmeh, Jordan
About this Project
I spent the summer of 2007 as an Archaeological Dig Assistant at a PPNB site at el-Hemmeh, Jordan. The majority of the site was 10,000 years old and was comprised of what appeared to be a large housing complex. There was also a nearby site that dated to the PPNA era.
Some of the notable finds included imprints from a wooden logs (possibly a roof), numerous animal bones, coloured plaster walls and floors, and three human skeletons.
